This website is offered as assistance to anyone who wants to better understand therapy, psychotherapy, analysis, psychoanalysis, couples therapy and marital counseling. I’ve described these both in general, and in the specific ways that I have developed them in order to be most effective with my clients. These ideas are offered as broad outlines and possibilities, rather than as prescriptions, as my experience has been that it is most important to tailor the treatment to each unique person and couple, rather than to make assumptions about the most effective method of psychological treatment before I know them.

             One approach to understanding psychological problems in which I am certified is commonly known as Jungian therapy or Jungian analysis, developed by Swiss psychiatrist Carl Jung. While Jung himself drew from other psychologists and urged therapists to match the treatment to the individual, his own contribution was in understanding what people were trying unconsciously to work through and accomplish in their psychological problems. Jung also suggested that as we understand how best to fulfill our own personal, individual nature, becoming more whole and authentic, our psychological struggles take on meaning and suffering is diminished.

           This website is also offered to those who want to find a therapist in Westchester or New York, and would like to know more about my own way of working before they meet with me for a consultation. I work with adults (starting at age 17) who are suffering from a broad range of problems, including depression, anxiety, and relationship issues.

   My Westchester office is located within walking distance of the Crestwood train station in Tuckahoe, which is in south central Westchester, near Bronxville, Scarsdale, Eastchester, Yonkers and New Rochelle. My Manhattan office is located in Greenwich Village on 9^th Street between 5^th and 6^th Avenues.
